U.S. Commercial Service, Nigerian International Franchise Association Present Specialty Seminar 2007
Following the success of the CTO 2006 franchising seminar "Levereging Franchising for Business Growth," the U.S. Commercial Service, Lagos again collaborated with the Nigerian International Franchise Association to bring a free specialty seminar to the Nigerian public.
The all-day seminar was held on Thursday May 10, 2007 at the Muson Center, Lagos as part of the CTO Exhibition and Seminars 2007. Topics explored include "Acquiring An International Master Franchise" presented by Nic Louw, consultant to the African Development Bank on franchising; "Documenting Your Franchise: The Laws and the Regulations" presented by Dr. Okay Anyandiegwu, consultant counsel, African Development Bank; "Turning Your Business into a Successful Franchise" presented by Peter Moyanga, franchising manager, McDonald's South Africa and past chairman of the Franchise Association of Southern Africa; and "Franchising In Nigeria - Opportunities and Challenges" presented by Olumide Ale, executive director -franchising, Tantalizers.
Dr. David Okongwu, director general, National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion moderated the event while Chief Cecelia Ibru, CEO, Oceanic Bank delivered a keynote address at the opening session. Oceanic Bank sponsored the evening social gathering that honored members of the Nigerian International Franchise Association and their guests.
